Inside Maple Street Biscuit Company, San Marco
I chose the San Marco location to visit for my collaboration. Although Maple Street locations can be found in the Southeastern portion of the United States, this is the first location. I always like coming to this store because of that.

Inside gives a warm family kitchen like setting. There are a few large tables, large enough to share with other parties and not be in each others way. This is a fast casual dining experience. You order your food with a cashier and give them a name. And your order is called and you collect it from the same area. You grab your own coffee mugs and silverware and you clean up after yourself once you’re done.
They sell fresh made maple syrup and company apparel. They also offer an outdoor setting for patio dining.
The Retro Menu At Maple Street Biscuit Company
New Menu Items
- Retro’ Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit
- ‘Retro’ Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit
- ‘Retro’ Crispy Chicken Biscuit
- ‘Retro’ Plate (either with biscuit & jam or biscuit & gravy)
- Smashbrowns (either as a stand-alone side or with the Frittaffle)
Here’s everything I had and how I rate them
Retro Biscuit Sandwich- You have the choice of sausage, bacon, or fried chicken. I went with the bacon option. It included fresh bacon, cheddar cheese (yum), a fried egg topped with their new menu item the smashbrowns. A handheld potato and green onion hash browns. The foundation of this item is the classic maple street biscuit which is great and topped with the above items. I will say, although this was not as an exciting of a pallet as their specialty biscuits such as the ‘Squawking Goat’ or the ‘Sticky Maple’, it was tasty. There was just no UMPH to it. The smashbrown on top did make it a little more unique. But for the price of $6 it’s well worth it. (Rating 7 out of 10)

The Retro Plate – 2 eggs cooked your way, pecan wood smoked bacon, smashbrowns, and your choice of a biscuit and jam or a biscuit and gravy. This is an option you can go with to detour the sandwich route and go for more of a traditional breakfast. I will say my favorite part of this option was hands down the smashbrowns. I could eat those by the pound! (Rating 7.5 out of 10)
As far as drinks I kept it simple and went with their fresh squeezed orange juice. It is simply delightful I highly recommend it. The maple tap coffee ranks high in my book as some of the best joe around.
Incredible Value
Keep in mind both of these breakfast options are offered at an amazing value, the biscuits are priced at $6 each or two for $10 and the retro plate is just $10.00. Giving you incredible value and bang for your buck. If you’re looking for a simple homestyle breakfast for less be sure to stop in at a Maple Street Biscuit near you.
