I get it, starting a sneaker collection can seem overwhelming. Especially if you’re a girly girl and not into buying sneakers to begin with. Today I am going to sum it up and give you 3 types of sneakers you can acquire to start a flourishing yet functional kick collection.

I don’t know about you but for myself, comfort just outweighs beauty. Which is why I invest in sneakers. Honey, I’ve had my days of limping from heels lol. In fact, some of the best dressed celebs and it girls kill sneaker fashion. And most of them have sneakers within these 3 types of categories.
Still not convinced? Okay I’ll make a bet…with these selections you can still be sexy and run the day (literally) fashionably. Promise. AND Long story short, after this article you won’t have to buy another pair again… unless you want to of course (inserts wink). Enough of me rambling, keep reading.

Classic
When it comes to the types of sneakers any fashionable wardrobe should have, a classic sneaker is always first. In my opinion one of the best classic shoes to go for is a Chuck Taylor All Star. Not only are they extremely affordable ($65.00), they transition from season to season and they can go with just about any fashion style. High top or low top works. But for me, the hightop pair with the patch on the inside just looks so much more official.

These are extremely low profile shoes, skipping the boyish bulky look like let’s say a Jordan 6. These are doable even for the girly girl who ‘doesn’t wear sneakers’.
Other classic shoes that are low profile, stylish, and budget friendly are the Adidas Samba ($88).
*style tip- don’t worry about keeping these pearly white and clean. In fact, the dirtier this shoe is, the better.
Luxury
Second up in the 3 types of sneakers every it girl should have…. and very close to the classic recommendation are a pair of luxury sneakers. I’m electing the Golden Goose sneaker for this topic. These are not as budget friendly as the previous type (starting price $545) . However, they are chic, low profile fun, stylish, and most importantly comfortable. Which is not normal for a pair of designer shoes, these beat the odds.

Although these kicks are a chunk of change they are totally worth it, because they are a timeless shoe. They come already distressed, so you literally can’t make them bad by getting them ‘dirtier’ and they are simply an ‘it girl shoe’. I’ve personally worn them more than 10 times and they have paid for themselves. But that is just my own personal girl math.
I’m willing to throw it out there, these could be the only sneaker in your collection and you would be complete. But don’t take my word for it, keep reading.
Fun
Last but certainly not least when it comes to 3 types of sneakers every fashion babe should have… a fun pair of sneaks are totally necessary. You’re going to want to find a low top, but colorful sneaker to fit this catergory. I am nominating the Off White X Nike Low Top Blazers. Not only are these all of the above, they are comfy and give pops of fun color. A personal fave is that they come with holes in them, giving you a little breathing room. PERFECT for the Spring and summer months.

Although these are an aftermarket sneaker, they can surprisingly be found for under $200 on Stock X. If this particular style isn’t your vibe, another fun low profile pair of sneakers I nominate are the Nike Dunks (they come in a plethora of colors) and the Airmax 95. Basically find a sneaker that fits your style and have fun with it.

As you can see with these types of sneakers, they offer a variety of style and can easily be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe. Now of course this is simply a starter pack in the event you don’t know where to start. Achieve these basics and then venture out into the wilder side of the sneaker jungle.
