I’ve been searching for a spot that serves delicious Acai bowls around me and heard The Jungle Bowl was the go-to plug. I finally decided to drop in to give it a try myself.

I was pleasantly surprised to not only learn they are delicious, they are the real deal when it comes to overall health. For bonus points i’m going to call it addictive as well. Today we are going to review this spot and I’ll tell you how they’ve not only mastered delicious, but they’ve made it effortlessly healthy.
Inside The Jungle Bowl
The Jungle Bowl is secretly tucked on the Northside of town at 731 Duval Station Road right here in Jacksonville Florida. It’s in the Publix shopping plaza near First Coast High School. It’s a healthy option spot that offers Acai bowls, smoothies, and more. Truthfully when it comes to Acai bowls, this is what they do. So much, the larger portion of the sign spells out ACAI. With all that being said, I knew exactly what I was in for. Upon walking in its a typical smoothie spot with a large board. The add-on options are galore, but more of that to come, keep reading.

It has cute jungle decor with a neon sign. You order with the option to pay cash, card or, tap and you wait for your order. The service is friendly and quick. You have the option to take your delights to-go or you can dine in.
What To Expect
Even though Acai is the star of the show, you can also get a peanut butter bowl, oatmeal, or a pitaya option. With mixes to choose from including the classic, the jungle bowl or build your own, you definitely have options. They offer a regular 24 oz ($10.99) , super 32 oz ($12.99), or kids size 9oz ($6.49). Yes the babies can get in on the goodness too!
Oh! Let’s not forget they huge list of smoothies. They have a ‘I can’t believe it’s healthy’ menu and simply health and wellness smoothies. Wether you’re looking for a sweet but healthy indulgence or a drink for a purpose, they’ve got you covered. The come in a standard 16oz and are $6.99 each.

What makes this place unique is that they are really into health. They are 100% vegan friendly no dairy based products are sold here. We are talking offering bowl toppings and additives such as bee pollen, ginger root, and lions mane, and natural mixes for energy boosts/ stamina. If you need fixing they’ve got a mix. There’s honestly not a natural supplement you can’t find here to add to your bowl. I was sincerely floored with what they are doing here. Especially the knowledge of all of the natural benefits.
What I Ordered
For my first visit (yeah…I went back immediately within days), I ordered my daughter the classic acai bowl (topped with banana, blue berry, strawberry, and granola) and a jungle bowl for myself a mix of acai and strawberry topped with blueberry, banana and pineapple. You have the option to add honey and coconut flakes for free. I went all in and added both. Let me tell you something, DELICIOUS. I did a regular size and although it was enough I was wishing I had gone for the super. Absolutely amazing. She devoured her bowl.
I was so good I spun the block and went back 3 days later and tried the Peaches and cream smoothie (peaches, mango, banana, almond milk). I was feeling a little sluggish and wanted to add some pep to my step so I added the Energizer/Metabolism Booster which includes Guarana, Moringa, and Matcha. The smoothie was marvelous and I felt the burst of energy.
I’m going to give my experience here a 10/10. Sincerely. They are open daily with different hours. For more info, visit them online. I highly recommend you swing into this jungle and give a bowl or smoothie a try. Let me know what you think when you do!
I know this post is about healthy. However, if you’re wanting the complete opposite there’s another gem tucked away on the Northside just down the street offering ice cream, bubble waffles, and boba called Aloha. lol. Check out my article about it here.
