Styling A Long Quilted Jacket

This long quilted jacket will never not be a yes for me. It was my mother’s birthday and I was taking her to hang out at the Beyond Van Gogh exhibit locally. I genuinely had no idea what I wanted to wear. I’ve skipped the gym a few days and my body had been feeling blah. Wearing something tight was just out of the question, sort of.

1 key factor I had on my side was the weather. My region of Florida was finally experiencing it’s brief 2 weeks of winter. You’ve got to take advantage of these days. Layering and oversized looks are one of my favorite styles to pull off, so I decided to go in that direction.

As I surfed my closet I found a brand new (but old) Manier De Voir bodysuit I once had high hopes for and bought on impulse. Needless to say it still had the tags and perfectly in tact on the same hanger its been housed on since the day it arrived.

Long Quilted Jacket On Repeat

I took it out and my wheels started turning. I had an old pair of rubber and canvas boots I scored and covet from Zara a few seasons back. The hiking shoestrings are accented in olive green. Thats when it hit me. I’m wearing these boots, that bodysuit, and my favorite long quilted jacket.

The only other time I got to slide in this frock was a few months back in Chicago. So me being able to wear it again totally different made my heart sing.

I went to a residential pair of destroyed jeans, they never fail me. Always comfy and very much stylish. For accessories I kept it simple with a thick pair of gold hoops and an initial necklace. For a bag I switched up the normal shoulder bag and threw on my Jumbo G Gucci Pouch turned clutch. Baddies… we have a look. Layered, sexy, comfy. All a plus in my book.
