The Women’s “Vintage Green” dunks brings a highly desired aged aesthetic to the retro shoes, displaying a pre-yellow midsole. Nowadays people prefer the “dirty” or vintage look. Youtubers are going as far as dipping their Air Force 1s in coffee to achieve this look. Hold the Cafe Bustelo, Nike hears you people…

The Shoe
The women’s dunk low vintage green features a leather upper is classic white with a perforated toe, secured with sail colorway shoestrings. Instead of the standard mesh, these are lined with a ribbed textile. My favorite part? The soft metallic green outline. Although Nike released the “varsity green” dunks in 2021, these are no where near the same even though they appear to be at first sight. They are presented in the standard red nike box. No special paper. They did not include additional shoelaces. Sorry guys and some girls, if you’re foot is larger than a men’s 10.5, these aren’t available for you.

The Backstory
To be honest, I didn’t even know the Vintage Green Dunks were dropping. On my birthday (March 24) a friend told me she attempted to win these on the SNKRS app. Anyone who is a real sneaker shopper knows the chances are slim to none with that app. I had already missed the initial drop. However, I was obsessed with the colorway. Green is my favorite color after all.
I slid to GOAT (my personal favorite aftermarket site) and they were available in my size for $359.00. I will admit I was being extremely impulsive and clicked “buy”. Only to get an email a little over a week later that I was getting a full refund because my purchase had been lost in the mail. Bummer.
At this point I was over it. However, I purchased a green Telfar bag. The obsession for the shoes began again. This time at checkout the price was $319. They arrive safe and sound. I can’t wait to style these.
What can I say, I love sneakers.
