I get it, once upon a time putting together a cowboy boot outfit was not only taboo, it was comparable to dressing like you worked at Cyote Ugly or did something for a living mama wouldn’t be proud of. But, I’m here to tell you times have changed and cowboy boots are an essential part of any street wear fashion girly’s repertoire. And it doesn’t help that Queen Beyonce Dropped The Cowboy Carter Album. Now here she is running around the world giving us looks.

If you’re wanting to get in on this trend but just can’t come up with how, I’ve got you covered. Today, I’m going to show you FOUR ways to effortlessly rock the cowboy boots outfit trend but from a street wear perspective. Button Down

One of the most chic yet easy ways you can pull off a cowboy boot outfit is grabbing your handy dandy white button down. In today’s case I went with this oversized one I’ve had from Zara for years now and paired it with a black pair of chaps jeans. To accessorize I went with a bold silver tear drop earring and matching bag. To bring a little heat to the seat I went with these fire cowboy boots. Granted these are a season old, I’ve got you covered and found a comparable dupe so that you can effortlessly recreate this look.

Style Tip

Instead of buttoning the blouse all the way. I sort of did the opposite. I buttoned the piece all the way to the next and stopped just under the bust line of my bra.. from there I let it flow open. This is a very simple way to style an oversized button down with a twist.

Sports Jersey

Let’s take the cowboy boot outfit trend and hit them with the unexpected. I took a thrifted soccer jersey (an amazing find) and paired it with a pair of exposed waist trouser shorts. To give this look a little umph I knotted the jersey at the chest making it look cropped. I went with a pair of black cowboy boots for this look matched with the amazing Joy bag I scored from JW Pei. [I also have this gem from the same brand. can we say YAASS] This turns up the cowboy boot outfit to hecka street style but still toned down to be worn for everyday purposes.

Mixed Prints

When it comes to street wear, it’s kind of code to play around with prints and mix them. In the case of camo it’s a neutral. Yeah, this means you can wear camo with ANY color and print and not look whacky. In today’s case I took a yellow and navy blue striped tank I found on Missguided. I layered this look with a classic Levi’s jacket and topped it off with a baseball cap. For this look I went with this amazing pair of cognac boots I found on Shein. I sincere steal I don’t regret.

Feminine

One of my favorite ways to kill the cowboy boot outfit trend is the feminine route. I took a satin and lace slip dress and threw on the same cognac boots from the previous look. To give the look depth and color I went with this fun fluffy cardigan and offset the look with a dark brown pony hair Kendrick trunk from Brandon Blackwood. Soooo sexy but still classy and stylish.
