Travis Scott x Nike
Travis Scott started a budding relationship with Nike back in 2017 and has been dropping fire on top of fire. From the Cactus Jack Jordan 4s to the Air force 1, he has kept us on our toes with dope designs and color ways. I will be the first to admit, although I admired the drops I never had the desire to buy a pair. That is until the Jordan 1 low concept showed up. When the first pair of mochas showed up, my eyebrows raised. However, by the time the fragment design dropped I was at full attention. I needed a pair.

If you’re into sneakers you know getting a pair of any shoes from SNKRS retail price is nearly impossible. Securing a pair of Travis Scott’s took the stakes to non existent. In fact, the Travis Scott brand broke a SNKRS app record of 3.8 million entries made for the ‘Reverse Mocha’ via the SNKRS app, breaking the record for most member entries ever. So if you lucked up and scored any pair… I and millions of sneaker heads envy you.
Why?
Well, other than the fact the shoes are hella dope, the kicks you secured for $150.00 USD are now retailing for over $1,000.00 in the aftermarket sneaker world. Unfortunately for me, I missed every drop and have not had the guts or desire to checkout with that insane price tag.
Fast forward to the Travis Scott Olive. The first time I saw these were on a Hype Bae post. It’s not unheard of for them to show concept sneakers, so in my head I felt this was the case. But I did say, if these boys drop I’M GETTING THEM. I don’t care how much they cost. I. Was. NOT. Missing these.
I am a woman of my word and did not miss them. Let’s unbox them, and determine if they are really worth the hype?
Unboxing The Travis Scott Olive
Released April 23, 2023 this is the first pair of Travis Scott’s released exclusive to women’s-only sizing. Oh baby, the boys are upset. Although they can be found in larger sizes I would question the authenticity of them and let’s not forget the bigger the shoes the higher the cost. The boy sneaker heads are not happy, at all.
The box came in a shiny off white color with green Nike lettering. Inside the shoes are snuggled with the infamous Cactus Jack paper in pink.

This premium sneaker features an upper that combines a black suede base, off-white leather overlays, and olive suede Swooshes. A reverse Swoosh resides at the lateral, while a traditional can be found on the other side. Crimson accents contrast neutral earth tones, while a woven Nike Air tongue label can be found. Mismatched Jordan Brand and Cactus Jack branding is embroidered within each heel tab. The off-white vintage midsole treatment and rubber outsole finish the rest of the design. They came with four waxed shoe strings in white, black, olive, and red. They fit like a glove and look amazing on the foot. Green is my favorite color followed by red so the combo of the two mixed in the with white and black. Chef’s kiss.
Is The Travis Scott Olive Worth It?
I purchased my pair a new after the drop from GOAT for $585.00. I hopped on them at this price solely because I didn’t know how long it would be before they spiked in price. Granted, $500.00 for a pair of sneakers is pretty steep. However, I kept my promise. I was getting these shoes sis!
To have seen these sneakers all over the internet and be in awe versus having them in the palm of my hand is a total different experience. They were worth every single penny. I have not one regret about my purchase. If you are considering purchasing, I highly advise you to play the numbers game. Especially when dealing with aftermarket platforms. I always bounce between GOAT and Stock X just as a personal preference.
I can’t wait to style these! Let me know what type of looks you would like to see rocking the Travis Scott Olive.
