I’m a full time entrepreneur. However, during the week my “real” job starts once my 5 year daughter is dismissed from school. So, comfortable style that can go from a work day to gymnastics practice is a requirement. Can you relate?
Effortless, comfortable, and stylish are three things that are a must. I keep all of these factors in mind when putting on clothes for the day.
If you’re a parent, you obviously know you can’t show up to swim practice with a flowing dress and heels. I mean, you can but… seriously. 😂 This day in particular I was heading to lunch and wanted to be comfortable but still stylish. More on how you too can accomplish this look, keep scrolling.
Mom Jeans Style, As Easy As 1,2,3.
#1 Figure Out Your Style of Mom Jeans
The great thing about mom jeans is that they come in different styles, fits, and washes. I purchased my jeans from Fashion Nova Years Ago. They have 1% spandex mixed with 99% cotton and they fit my figure perfectly. The slight stretch helps contour them to my body, even when I’m a few pounds heavier.
Once you buy a pair they stick with you for as long as you want them to. Although I have a few different styles. This particular pair with a little stretch is my favorite.
#2 A simple T-Shirt Goes a Long Way.
Choose a t-shirt to pair with your jeans. Depending on your style preference you can go with a more relaxed look. You can even do a graphic print shirt. There is no wrong answer here. Whatever you go with, tuck it in. It gives your look a more “polished” put together approach.
I personally like a more snugger fitting boyfriend style shirt. For this look I wore a shirt I found at Target months ago for $8.00.
#3 Hat, Sneakers, Bag, and Go.
For the on the go yet relaxed look, sneakers are a must. I wore a pair of old Stan Smith Adidas I totally forgot I owned. I chose low cut socks to slightly expose a little ankle. Any type of “dad” looking shoe works with this simple look. Even a classic pair of dirty chucks work.
A baseball cap seals the deal to give off the effortless woman with style look we are going for here. Top off this look with your fave baseball cap. Any cap works!
If you’re like me, go with a larger tote style bag. I chose this style bag because I carry a lot around. A larger bag holds a laptop, water bottle, and whatever the heck else you’re lugging around during a work week.
Ta-da! A simple everyday look… for you to bump around town in. Heyyy! A look. (I actually saw someone I know driving past lol).

Super Food and Brew For Lunch
If you were wondering, I ate lunch at a local spot called Super Food and Brew. Located in Downtown Jax. This Artesian style restaurant not only serves delicious food, it’s exceptionally healthy.
I’ve been back in the gym heavy lately so eating out is not always the best option. Especially when you’ve got a personal trainer breathing down your neck about your calorie intake 🥴. Anyway, this fast casual setting is industrial like with exposed pipes in the ceiling and concrete floors. There is seating all over with amazing views of Downtown Jax.
I went with the Southwestern salad and added grilled chicken for protein. SPECTACULAR. They also serve Kambuchas, and HUGE selection of crafted beer. I’m not a fan of either so I can’t give a review on them.
