I finally had the chance to swing by the Hopdoddy burger bar, the newest burger joint at the St John’s Town Center. Serving up crazy burger combos, shakes, and hand cut fries.
This place is definitely one for the books and highly recommended. Keep reading because i’m here to give you a for a full review of my experience, what I ate, and how each item is rated.
Inside Hopdoddy
From the outside Hopdoddy Burger Bar looks like nothing more than a plaza style restaurant. However, once inside it completely transforms you into an upscale rockstar haven. Complete with a full bar, cool art, and high top seating. Yes, it’s a fast casual burger bar, however it just looks… upscale.
You enter and place your order at the register and they assign you a table, from there your food is brought out by a waiter. The service was extremely friendly and we waited less than 10 minutes for our items to arrive. They do have a kids menu… however it’s not printable (bummer). All drinks with the exception of alcohol and shake are self serve.
What I Ordered at Hopdoddy
I checked this spot out with my six year old daughter as a night out and it was the perfect setting for the two of us.
Goodnight/Good Cause – Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, jalapeños, caffeinated BBQ sauce, Doddy Mayo, lettuce & tomato. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Tuned In Program, learn more hopdoddy.com/giveback!. I did get it served as is a cooked medium well. The burger was juicy and the bread was soft and delicious. It had a kick of sweet and a punch of spice. (8.5 / 10)
Parmesan Truffle Fries – Hand-cut fries tossed with Truffle Oil, Parmesan & Chives. Served with Truffle Aioli. (9/10) These fries were simply delicious, they were thin and fried to perfection. The truffle Aioli was to die for.
Kid’s Chicken Tenders Meal – Hand-breaded chicken tenders served with ketchup. Includes hand-cut fries & your choice of kid’s drink. The tenders were the real deal and made from chicken breast they were fresh and well seasoned. The fries were the same fries as the truffle fries and were good as well. (8.5/10)
Overall, Hopdoddy Burger Bar was pretty good. I can definitely see myself going back to explore more menu options including the shakes. If you’re interested here’s what I wore there.
