I’m at a place style wise where wearing a graphic sweatshirt or tee is becoming obsolete. But not entirely… just yet. Let’s admit a graphic print is always a fun way to express yourself and let’s be honest they look great.

Sure it’s easy to wear a graphic sweatshirt and a pair of jeans and you’ve got an outfit right? for me, that look has run it’s course. Today I tried something different and included a pair of pleated dress shorts, oversized button down, and sneakers. Taking an ordinary piece to the next level.

A Graphic Print Sweatshirt, Sophisticated Yet Street.
I was heading out to a dinner and movie date with my daughter and just didn’t want to wear the same ole typical look to the movie which for me consists of a graphic tee and jeans. Nah, I have just made up in my mind I’m going to PTSO (put that shit on) at any given moment. Here’s what I came up with. I’ve had this cute pair of exposed waist dress shorts for a few weeks now that have been staring at me. I got them with good intention to try different looks and I figured today would be the perfect time.

Pulling existing pieces from my wardrobe, I grabbed one of my favorite oversized white button downs. Of course, I could’ve stopped there, but there was no way I was going to. BOOORING. To make this out less conservative but fun and street, I threw on a oversized Grateful Dead graphic sweatshirt. I threw it on top of the oversized button down, giving my look a preppy sort of look.

Just FYI Urban Outfitters hands down has the best graphic tees and sweatshirts. Granted they aren’t cheap but they are fire and the best quality. I got this one recently without remorse and love the fact it came with a vintage look and is designed to get more worn with each wash. I can’t wait to flip this baby different ways this season.

I recently grabbed the Dunk Low St John’s and the red hue in the sweatshirt were screaming at me to bring them out. So, I did. I paired the sneakers with an oldie but goodie Phillip Lim Mini Pashli bag, fire red. And went with my favorite Louis Vuitton hoops. Overall the look was extremely comfy and fashionable. Taking the typical movie and dinner night outfit to the next level. The best part I was able to get some wear out of my new items while refreshing old ones. Proving you don’t have to have everything brand new to look fresh. It’s all in how you put it together.
