A Denim On Denim Outfit Will Always Save The Day.

Today’s OOTD is one of my favorite looks to execute, the almighty denim on denim outfit. Ironically, all the pieces for this look were sitting in my closet and it turned out exactly as I visioned it.

OOTD: Denim on Denim Saves The Day

There was a pop up art show in town I had been planning to attend. I was like what can I wear that comfortable, but sexy, and edgy. Knowing that denim on denim always comes through when I need it, I decided to experiment with some pieces already in my closet.

It should also be noted, I’m more comfortable with wearing baggy and looser fitting clothes these days. So, I figured tonight would be the best way to try it.

I took a old denim button down shirt/ dress I grabbed from HM over a year ago (GOSH, I’m so happy I bought this piece) I literally buttoned 2 of the top buttons giving the shirt an open flow and oversized concept.

My jeans are a staple pair of wide leg split hem jeans I lucked up and found in my size in petite on Pretty Little Thing.

For shoes I went to my GOAT Prada Jacquard Knit boots (another piece I’m thankful to have in my collection).

To finish off this look I wanted to make it look edgy and street so I threw in a Nylon baseball cap and an old nylon clutch. I caped a leather jacket. A baby, we have a look.

Needless to say I got tons of compliments on my look especially the boots, and it was perfect for the pop up art show.

Get The Look

Before you run out to the store to buy these items, you can seriously do with with things that may already be in your closet. Any pair of jeans and denim button up top can work. In today’s case I did black jeans and a blue denim top. However, you can make this work with any hues you have. Whatever you do, just make sure you’re having fun with it.
