Com’pleat’ly Obsessed With The Dress

There are more than a few must haves you probably should have in your closet, and a pleated maxi dress is one of them. Lucky for me, I purchased this one a few months back from Commense and it will be serving as a transitional piece to get me from the warm Summer months to the earlier Fall days. Today, I’m going to show you one way to style it from a casual standpoint. Keep reading.

There Was No Way I Was Going In Heels

I was heading out to a cute dinner and painting with a twist with a friend. I knew two things before getting dressed. 1. I was wearing this pleated maxi dress. 2. I wasn’t wearing heels. The older I get, the less tolerance I hold for wearing heels and walking limp by the end of the night. No thank you.

Instead, I opted for a pair of my comfy, and fashionable Golden Goose Sneakers. These are my classy go-to. Comfortable, sleek, but the pre-worn look serves as a street look taking any classic outfit to the next level. I paired the shoes and dress with another fave, a Gucci mini bag, and light accessories. To complete the look a light wash denim jacket. Of course it can be worn regular, but it’s just more fun to drape a jean jacket.

All in all this outfit served as the perfect, comfy, classy, and chic look. Most importantly, it can be worn on a light Summer day and transitioned into the earlier cool fall months.
