Taverna Jacksonville. A Hip Italian Delight In San Marco
Taverna Jacksonville is a fresh Italian kitchen nestled in the cozy San Marco neighborhood. If you’re looking for a cute ambience, great wine, and fresh pasta, swing by Taverna for your next lunch or dinner outing. This is one of the spots that make you feel like you’re not in Jacksonville, if you know what I mean. Keep reading as I tell you what I ate and details about Taverna.

Food I Tried At Taverna Jacksonville
I had been craving a fresh pasta dish with a side of wine, and it probably because my best gal pal had raved about her experience there the previous weekend. She and I set a date and we were there. I vlogged about it…
We went during lunch hour, it was pretty busy. However, the service or quality of food did not suffer. I’ve eaten at this establishment a handful of times, but this was the first time i’ve tried the fresh pasta.
Parmesan Truffle Fries
The online reviews discredit the parmesan truffle fries. I love truffle fries so I wanted to give these a shot. To my surprise they were delicious. Were they the best i’ve ever had, no. But they were close. I chose this as a appetizer and was extremely happy.
House Made Ravioli
Again, I had been craving pasta so trying their house made ravioli was a no brainer. With pasta dishes you can add a protein of choice which includes chicken, shrimp, or beef. I elected the blackened shrimp.
This dish wash simply succulent. Its base is a truffle cream and the handmade pasta is stuffed with ricotta cheese. Its drizzled with a pesto sauce and mixed in with mushrooms, kale, and green peas. The blackened shrimp complimented the dish perfectly. The dish was so good, I literally ate it all and wanted to lick the plate.

For wine I kept it simple and did a sauvignon blanc.
Location, Hours, and Price Range
Taverna Jacksonville located at 1986 San Marco Blvd. They are Tuesday – Sunday at various times and serve lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays. The dishes range from $4.00 – $40.00. I highly recommend making reservations. This visit in particular was fell on Wednesday and we ended having to sit at the bar due to lack of seating. You’ve been warned.
