The Story Of Galentine’s Day Weekend and A Dramatic Pink Dress
Happy Galentine’s Day Baddies!
First, I understand this post should have been last week in the event you wanted to replicate the look. HOWEVER, the girl has been busy and I’m a little delayed with dropping content, back to back events in town, and my brain is in a scramble. Okay!

Either way, I wanted to share with you guys how I came for Galentine’s Day weekend and hopefully give inspo to inspire your next edgy high fashion look.
Keep reading to find out how I came up with my Galentine’s Day outfit and the links to recreate it yourself.
Galentine’s Day > Valentine’s Day
Galentine’s Day is actually today February 13 the day before the ‘official’ Valentine’s day. It’s a full day dedicated to showering your besties with love, and no, there is nothing better. To sum it all up, it’s the friendship version of Valentine’s day.

Be sure to shower your babes with love and all that falls in between. Me personally, I was invited to an amazing Soiree and dinner dedicated to the ladies. We are talking free cocktails, a live band, and a fancy dinner. I will be sure to update you guys of my Galentine’s day weekend once I drop the vlog! Be sure to check back.
OOTD: ‘Googles Dramatic Pink Dress’
For the said event I knew I was wearing a dress and it was going to be red or freaking pink. I normally am heavy on green, my favorite color, but for this occasion I figured I would get in full cupid mood. For some reason I felt this was the need to be fashionable dramatic.

I simply googled Dramatic Pink Dress. Low and behold my dress popped up and of course it would be from a favorite go to for statement fashionable pieces… Akira.
The truth is I almost didn’t buy the dress. Thoughts of oooh its too much or what if my shoes don’t go clouded my judgement. But with fashion, you’ve got to take chances. I said F IT and hit order.
It’s no secret I buy items and let them collect dust and today’s look is a perfect example of why.
Earrings – I bought them nearly 6 months ago from a black designer from Detroit. I didn’t know how I would wear them, but I wanted them and got them. What made these even better was the fact they have a silver heart connecting the rest of the earrings. Even more Galentine’s Day approved.

Bag – For whatever reason at the time I needed a silver clutch, I ordered this one and never wore it. In fact, it still has the inside paper tags attached 🥴.
Boots – Ordered them 2 years ago on impulse. Never wore them, they sold out, restocked, and sold out again. But I got them though. lol.
Knowing I had these items for some reason in my head I just knew they would work with the dress I anxiously awaited. Hence you all got my OOTD, a dramatic pink dress and wild accessories. Making an edgy, fun, sexy Galentine’s Day outfit.

Wrapping Things Up: Galentine’s Day Outfit
As I was walking down the street to go to my event I was singing “Alien Superstar” by Beyonce in my head and thinking of Carie from Sex In The City. I received sooo many stares, compliments, and IG follows from this look. Mission accomplished.
