Today get ready with me to style the internet crazed A Girl Is A Gun shirt from the streetwear brand Pleasures. Truth is, I learned of this brand about 8 weeks ago. However, it was a piece that just had to be had. Long story short I wore this to a Future concert and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Keep reading to find out how I put the look together and links to get each piece to recreate this bomb concert (or wherever) look yourself. Ready? Let’s go!

OOTD: A Girl Is A Gun Shirt Saves The Day
My sister surprised me with tickets to one of my favorite artist’s shows. The one and only Pluto aka Future. I’ve been so busy with life I had not put any emphasis into what I would wear. However, I knew I was not wearing heels. I have more than a few options in my collection but for some reason none of these looks were the one. When it comes to what you’re going to wear for a special occasion, you know when you know.
Fast forward to a few weeks a good guy friend of mine sent me a DM with the Pleasures ‘A Girl Is A Gun’ shirt and I literally checked out the same night. After doing research I quickly realized this is a major shirt from the brand and it would sell out soon. A few days later it dawned on me that this would be the shirt I would wear to the Future show.

I would say the rest was easy, but I would be lying. For some reason, I wanted to wear shorts.. but then jeans. And I saw the Beyonce Ivy Park picture where she was wearing the short cowboy chaps jeans situation. That was that, I needed something similar. After a hell of a lot of google searches I came across my pants. To no surprise, they were on Akira. Akira is one of my favorite websites to get fire pieces that standout. I just wore a standout dress for Galentine’s Day featuring an Akira dress.
I ordered them within a matter of days. Based off of those pieces I knew exactly how I would top the look off. The only thing that scared me about the jeans was that they don’t have stretch and I was concerned they would’t fit. With my body type and shape jeans with no stretch can be tricky. Luckily they fit perfect (I was only 2 chicken nugget away from them not fitting right lol)
GRWM
Once I ensure the pants fit, perfectly might I add. I knew my beloved Rick Owens DRKSHDW sneakers would take this look to the next level giving it a tailored street fashion.
For styling purposes, I wore my ‘a girl is a gun shirt’ tucked in and draped a classic Levi’s denim jacket over my shoulders.
I kept jewelry to a minimum and went with some drop statement earrings. For a bag I went with my coveted fur waist bag I grabbed from Love Cortnie, I’ve been wearing it throughout the Winter and Fall months and it’s still carrying me through.
For lips, I went with my now signature red “Haute Mess” by The Lip Bar. I sincerely love this shade of red.
Wrapping Things Up: GRWM Concert Edition
At the end of the day, aside from what i’m doing I always go with what make me feel the most comfortable. In the end this look was not only extremely fashionable and appropriate for the show, it turned heads all night. After all, a girl is a gun.
