Taverna San Marco is a fresh Italian kitchen nestled in the cozy San Marco neighborhood in Jax. This is one of the spots that make you feel like you’re not in Jacksonville, if you know what I mean. If you’re looking for a cute ambience, great wine, and fresh pasta, swing by Taverna for your next lunch or dinner outing.

It’s literally one of my favorite spots to visit when I want fresh ravioli. So much, I get the same thing every time. If you’ve never been, I’m going to share with you 3 things I get consistently and highly recommend. Keep reading to find out what they are.
3 Highly Recommended Things To Try At Taverna San Marco
Taverna San Marco is located at 1986 San Marco Blvd. They are open Tuesday – Sunday at various times and serve lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Sundays. The dishes range from $4.00 – $40.00. I highly recommend making reservations. They can get busy, even during the week. You’ve been warned.

I had been craving a fresh pasta dish and the one place I could think of to deliver was Taverna San Marco. I hit up my fave gal pal and surprisingly she had the exact same thoughts. Within minutes a lunch date was set and scheduled. In all honesty aside from the variation of wine I didn’t need a menu because I knew exactly what what I was going to get. Here are the 3 things I order every visit during lunch.
Wine
One key note to visiting Taverna San Marco is the selection of wine. It’s endless. I’ve recently become a sauvignon blanc girly. They have a huge assortment of blancs and you can get it by the glass. There’s a specific one I love in particular. It’s extremely light, crisp, and perfect for lunch.
Parmesan Truffle Fries
Contrary to what the reviews say, these are one of my favorite appetizers to munch on while sipping my wine and waiting on my entree.

Aside from these babies being fried to perfection; they are thin cut and coated with truffle and parmesan. The aioli that accompanies is simply divine. If sharing I highly recommend getting your own. lol.
House Made Ravioli
This dish is simply succulent. The base is a truffle cream and the handmade pasta is stuffed with ricotta cheese. Its drizzled with a pesto sauce and mixed in with mushrooms, kale, and green peas during the summer months. However, during the fall and winter month the kale and peas are opted for squash and pumpkin seeds. Both wholeheartedly are delicious.

Please note, I always get blackened shrimp as a protein to compliment the dish perfectly. The dish is so good, I do everything but lick the plate. Of course this is the perfect dish if you love ravioli and everything that comes with.
Of course there are tons of other things to try at Taverna San Marco. However, if you’re not sure where to get started I highly recommend starting here. Should you go, let me know what you think!
