For months my friends and I had been anticipating attending an event host by a local event company The Orchid Elite. They had previously hosted an all white party that was niiice. From there I vowed I would be in attendance. This event ‘A Bougie Ass Dinner Party’ it was to be an all black masquerade edition. For weeks I had no idea what I was going to wear, but I wanted it to to fit the bill of ‘bougie’ … I mean my blog is Eat n Bougie from crying out loud.
And Then There Was Amazon
I’m not quite sure how when or why but I stumbled across a black tulle skirt… on Amazon. More recently i’ve gotten extremely comfortable with buying fashion on Amazon, after reading reviews I knew this skirt would be a heavy contender for the look I wanted to go for.
The skirt arrived 2 days later.. praise prime. The quality, look, and fit was perfect. The black tulle is heavenly and features a high split skirt on the right leg. It give a little sexy. Once the skirt was approved I could build the rest of my look.
I wasn’t sure what the temperature would be, but the event was to be held in November so I took a shot and did a mock neck top. This one was found on Shein for less than 15.00 and found some pointed jeweled heels.
I knew I had recently bought some crazy jeweled drop earrings from Zara, this outfit would be the debut of them. Everything was going as planned. The only thing missing was a clutch. I went with an old jeweled box clutch I had gotten from Akira years ago. Initially it was in my ‘donate pile’ of things I’d planned on giving away. But it was the perfect save to bring this look together.
I showed up full covered yet sexy. Needless to say my looked turned heads and it was a go. My black tulle skirt is loved, and will be staying around for a while. What will the next appearance be? You will just have to stick around and see.
