Hey Baddies! Fall is my favorite season of the year. Why? Because I can layer up and wear jackets and such. For most people in fashion, THIS is the time to shine. Speaking of layering and jackets, one jacket that should be in every baddie’s closet is the classic Camo Jacket.
I was asked to do a “Let’s Style” on a Camo jacket. I immediately became inspired, especially since I recently did a post on Camo cargo pants. In fact A Camo jacket should be a staple in anyone’s closet along with camo pants.
For those of you who are considering getting a Camo jacket, or to the ones who already have one and looking for outfit inspiration. (I see you baddie, I get it.. I’m the SAME way). A Camo Jacket Is A Wardrobe Staple
A closet seriously can’t have too much camouflage print. Well, maybe 🥴. However, in the list of fashionable things one should own, a Camo jacket should be involved. Why? I can give you two good reasons.

This is that one piece that will never go out of style. Ever. In fact, the older the better. The jacket I will be styling today has been with me for a very long time, we are talking nearly 10 years! This should be enough proof as to what I’m saying. When you hear people mention getting a bang for our buck when it comes to fashion. This is what they mean. #2 It’s Extremely Versatile
This piece can be worn as everyday fashion with jeans and sneakers or can be swapped out with a dramatic skirt and worn to a fashion event. It’s so fun to switch up. So, you were out thrifting and found an authentic military style Camo jacket. You know it is somethiiiing but don’t really know what to do with it. But you grabbed anyway, because you’ve always wanted one.
First, congratulations for finding this amazing piece! To find one that’s the right style and your size is a delicacy. Second, congrats are in order because you made an awesome choice.

Let’s Style: A Camo Jacket
1.) Urban Rocker
Garter T-shirt, Disco pants, Platform Combat Boots
For this look I paired another one of my closet staples the American Apparel Disco Pant with a sexy cropped garter style t-shirt. With the cooler months coming it’s time to whip out ye ole faithful Dr Martens. I love the Jaden style because, well I love a platform boot. I finished the look off with a mini bag.

2.) Mixed Prints
Leather Shorts, Snakeskin Boots, Mini Clutch
Remember earlier when I mentioned that Camo is a neutral and can be matched with any print? With this look I did exactly that. I eliminated a shirt altogether and wore my jacket as a button shirt. So it didn’t look baggy I cinched the waist with a vintage style waist belt. I went with leather shorts and a pair of my favorite snakeskin thigh high boots. I chose a mini bag and simply tucked the chain in to make it a clutch.

3.) City Girl
Denim Button Down Dress and Thigh High Boots
If you really want to take the jacket up a notch try this. Pair a mini denim button down dress with a sexy pair of thigh high boots. I buttoned the dress all the way to the neck. For a bag I chose a brown top handle pony hair bag. Hello texture and contrast

4.) Everyday Style
Oversized T-Shirt, Leggings, Sneakers
During the colder days this is a look I would wear as a go to everyday look. I paired an oversized graphic t-shirt, a comfy pair of leggings, and my beloved black high top Chuck Taylor. I went with a red bag to pull the pop of color from my graphic tee. This look can be alternated with any graphic tee (remember Camo is a neutral). From there pick a color in the shirt and choose a bag of that color. Simple styling.

5.) Incognito
Midi Dress, Baseball Cap, Sneakers, Sunglasses, Oversized Clutch
Depending on where i’m going I dig the incognito look. I also happen to be a huge fan of sneakers being worn with a dress. Boom! We’ve got action. I paired another closet staple a ribbed midi dress with a baseball cap, oversized glasses, and dad style sneakers. To give the look a POP of color I went with a neon oversized clutch.

I Got My Jacket Dirt Cheap, You Can Too.
Truth is, my jacket was thrifted. I came across this gem nearly 10 years ago at the Salvation Army on 1/2 Wednesday originally priced at $8.00 – $10.00 I got this for half that price. I have coveted and kept it with me since. It was cheap but it wasn’t an easy find.
