At this stage in life, I’m way more into healthy girl date ideas than I am into mimosas and overpriced brunches. If we’re linking up, I want it to reflect where I’m at—not where I used to be. These days, that looks like sweat sessions, smoothie bowls, and friends who pour into me with presence, not pressure. Because truthfully? I’m working on my body, my mindset, and my energy—and I need my circle to reflect that.

Recently, my girl Diana pulled up for one of my fave healthy girl date ideas: a gym session followed by a nourishing lunch. We knocked out a solid Zumba session (sooo fun)and the sauna, then swung by Kairo’s Jax, one of my new favorite spots for a clean, balanced meal. Their Rock Shrimp bowl? Chef’s kiss. It was the perfect post-workout refuel and a reminder that you really can have fun and stay aligned with your goals.
Because this is what I mean when I say alignment.
I’m no longer available for friendships that drain me or pull me off course. I’m focused on healing, evolving, raising a whole child, and building my dream life—and I want my friendships to reflect that same energy.
That doesn’t mean we need to be in constant communication. Honestly, I live for low-maintenance friendships. The kind where we don’t talk every day, but when we do? It’s love, laughter, and alignment.
The kind of friendship that says, “I see where you’re going, and I’m walking with you.”
Diana’s that kind of friend. She didn’t flinch when I said, “Let’s get a workout in instead of brunch.” She showed up, stretched, squatted, sweat with me, and joined me for a meal that made our bodies feel good, not sluggish. That’s what real healthy girl date ideas are all about—connection without compromise.
So next time you’re planning a link-up with your homegirl, think beyond cocktails and chaos.
Ask yourself:
Can we grow together? Can we sweat, get vulnerable, build, or just be real together?
Because girl dates don’t always need to come with lashes and lemon drops.
Sometimes they look like leggings, light cardio, and conversations that feed your soul.
And that? That’s the kind of soft, aligned life I’m leaning into.
Side Note for My Fellow Busy Girls
If you’re deep in your healing era .. nurturing your health, figuring out career moves, or showing up daily as a single mom—let me say this clearly: low-maintenance friendships are sacred. Don’t guilt yourself for needing space. The real ones will always understand, support, and still be there when you circle back.
Find the people who can meet you for a workout and a smoothie instead of a hangover. That’s the kind of energy that sticks.
