It’s that time of year again ladies, Summa’ Summa’ time. I plan on wearing plenty of shorts and skin exposing tops. In the case of dresses, let’s get back to the basics with the classic halter dress. It’s a halter dress summer baby. Want to know ways to rock a halter dress and be comfy still? Keep reading.

A Halter Dress? Why?
It’s quite obvious that the halter dress is designed for the warmer months. I mean, the design is sleeveless and the back is out. A halter is a sexy yet classy way to show off your lovely physique and there is a design for every body type. If you’re more into showing off your curves a body-con is highly recommended.
Three Different Looks, Same Comfort

A Mini Denim Dress and Sneakers
- I overly love denim pieces. This short fling is the perfect way to show off tons of skin but still stay in the “not overly doing it zone.” I love pairing a dress with sneakers. This look can be worn to a park with the kids or a hip lunch date. Pair it with a cute baseball hat, and large hoops and it’s a look! Ps: It’s a known fact that New Balance are some of the most comfortable sneakers in the game.

A Maxi Dress and Low Heels
- Let’s just say you’re not the most confident wearing something that is form fitting. Try an a-line style flowing maxi dress. I love maxis because sometimes, I just don’t want my legs out. The best thing about a tight upper fitting dress and loose lower half is that it hides your tummy. No more food baby reveals. A maxi can cover ALL your secrets honey. This look looks effortless with low profile heels or sandals. I love low profile heels… because they are comfortable. I once wore a maxi dress to a wedding with these exact heels, no one knew what shoes I was wearing, and I was comfortable the entire time. I’ve had my days of limping to care. Okay!?

A Midi Body Con Dress and Cute Sandals
- One of my favorite style dresses is a form fitting midi dress. I feel like midis are the cousin of maxi dresses. They fall below the knee and hug your curves in all the right places. So sexy. Be comfy and pair a similar style dress with your favorite sandals and a cute handbag.
In Reel Time
Truth is I had this form fitting zip down dress for a few months, I found it on Nasty Gal just as it was about to sell out. It’s now sold out (Sorry). However, we can still use what I did with it for styling and inspiration purposes. I was going to a streetwear pop-up shop so I knew I needed to be stylish and comfort was also a necessity. Check out my Instagram reel, swinging around in this cute number.

I went with my oh so comfy Rick Owens Drkshdw sneakers. Last minute I chose a Dalmatian print bag to bring a little fun to the look. I was determined to wear shades with this outfit, I went to one of my faves style, a true Aviator shade. Just to note, I could’ve easily worn this look with a pair of sandals or heels. For me it’s something about a pair of sneakers worn with a sexy dress, especially going to a streetwear pop-shop. This look turned heads 🙂

Super stylish, comfortable, and totally appropriate for the event I attended. I love it when that happens. Will you be contributing to the halter dress summer movement, which style dress is more of your type?
