Styling Sweatpants Effortlessly and Look Fly Doing It.
In This Article
Styling sweatpants is one of the easiest ways to reflect easy going style. They are cozy and comfy. But what you may not know is they can be dressed up to be quite chic. Keep reading to find out how.
Get ready with me as I style a baggy pair of sweatpants I had laying around in my closet. We are going to take a street style approach.

I’m sure I’ve mention 101 times before that I currently live in Florida. Formally acknowledged as ‘The Sunshine State’, what people fail to mention is that there is a year round cycle of heat. It probably gets cold (under 40 degrees) collectively for about 4 weeks out of the year. If you are looking to experience the 2 seasons of Summer and Spring, Florida is the place for you.
I can’t tell you how frustrating it is for a person such as myself who lives for fall fashion and dying to jump in on the train of all the flyness going around this time of year. Guess what, I can’t. Why Because I would look like a psychopath walking around in faux feather and thigh high leather boots. So when the temperature dropped below 70 degrees I took full advantage.
I literally only had a nail appointment, but who cares! It’s chilly out.
Styling Sweatpants: 5 Pieces Used
Nike Element Sweatpants (Major Disclaimer)
Before we get started, I’m going to block my head as I say this because you all love to fight. I CAN NOT find these sweatpants. Anywhere. Mainly because I’ve had them in my arsenal for nearly two years. I’ve only worn them twice previously and I almost sold them on my Poshmark page only to come to the realization, these are a hot commodity and shall stay with me for a while.
They are called the Nike Element Sweatpants. Once upon a time they cam out in orange, ivory, and navy blue and cost about $110.00 retail price. If you’re able to find them, let a chick know so that I can let the people know. Because the people want to know.
Event though these sweatpants are unavailable I would do the same look with a fun pair of baggy sweatpants.
A Black and White Striped Bodysuit
For today, I went with a striped bodysuit I had laying around I purchased from Zara a year ago and I pair it with a newly purchased and lovable cropped denim jacket from Zara as well. I recently did a fashion haul post and video about this piece. Be sure to check that out to see it and a few other items I grabbed to jumpstart my Fall fashion wardrobe.
A Staple Black Crossbody Bag
The handbag used is a staple I have in my closet as well. A simple Gucci Soho Disco Crossbody Bag. Proving my point from my previous post discussing 4 Black Accessories Every Baddie Needs. This is where having an everyday crossbody bag comes into play.
Nike Dunk “Pandas”
Any person who is into shoes acknowledges the Nike Black and White Dunk Low aka ‘Panda’ as a cheat code when it comes to what shoes one should have. These Dunks are a no brainer. Even if you are the girl “who doesn’t wear sneakers like that” this is the pair of sneakers you can have to be respected by any person with sneaker sense. In the case of styling sweatpants, it paid to be a sneaker head.
Black and white top, Nike sweatpants, the Pandas worked. Because it was a regular day that was uneventful I chose to go out fresh face with no makeup. Boom and comfy look, looking fashionable. Styling sweatpants can’t get much easier.
